In our quiet, waiting town,

Santa Claus came sweeping down!
With a twinkle and a jolly sound,
He brought the New Year tree, profound.

A majestic fir, so tall and green,
The finest centerpiece ever seen.
Its branches waited, bare and bright,
To catch the glow of festive light.

Then we, with laughter, gathered 'round,
No task too big, no effort frowned.
We strung the garlands, gold and red,
And placed the star right overhead.

With baubles shimmering, bells that chime,
We helped him make a wondrous time.
Each ribbon tied, each sparkle placed,
With happy thoughts and joyful haste.

Together, making spirits bloom,
Dispelling every trace of gloom.
Our town transformed, a radiant sight,
Bathed in the magic of the New Year's light.
Yes, we helped Santa, hand in hand,
To make the most beautiful town in the land!
